About Us

Our Story

We are a small Korean skincare retailer based in Edmonton, Alberta established in 2022. We want to share our passion and love for skincare with products curated all the way from the leading beauty industry of South Korea! We started this business to share our own knowledge in skincare in hopes of simplifying and promoting eco-conscious buying of skincare products to empower our customers to intentionally choose products that are suitable to their skin. Skincare doesn't have to be complicated.

While we're excited to have the opportunity to share our knowledge and passion for skincare with you, we recognize that there is a beauty industry waste problem. We started this business in hopes of making an impact; specifically addressing the overconsumption, overloading of samples, and the animal testing in the industry. This is why we especially curated products from cruelty-free brands that continue to make provisions on sustainability. We believe that sustainability is everyone's responsibility and that we vote with our dollars.

We are not perfect but we believe that small steps are better than nothing at all. Good things take time. We hope you can support us and that our reasons for starting this business resonate with you.

Our Vision

To encourage skincare brands to incorporate sustainability into their core values and commit to these values by implementing sustainable packaging, manufacturing procedures, marketing strategies, etc.

To promote eco-conscious buying of skincare products by spreading skincare knowledge that can empower people to choose products suitable to their skin and avoid simply following skincare trends.

To make friendly brands that align with our passion for sustainability known to our customers.

To promote and provide easy access to Asian skincare products in Canada. 

Our Plans

We have so much planned for HIRAYA COS! We're just getting our foot in the door. We hope you'll be with us as we work to achieve our goals.

In the future, we aim to:

• Promote a more curated way of sharing product samples without overloading our customers.
• Incorporate a system to allow our customers to recycle their empty skincare containers.
• Source other Asian skincare brands from all parts of Asia.
• Source other friendly beauty brands from all parts of the world. This will only include friendly cosmetics brands.

For now, we will continue to search for friendly brands to add to our collection, provide you with skincare knowledge and information, and try to grow our business in Canada to get us closer to our goals.
